ABOUT THE SHOW
Created by Tehseen Jay in 2018, the Nana G Show is a short-form puppet comedy series centred on the G family and their day-to-day struggles. Featuring the puppetry talents of Tehseen and collaborations with comedians and actors such as Tom Zenneti, Tez Ilyas, Rashy Flex & Abdullah Afzal among many others, The Nana G Show is fun for all the family!
ABOUT ME
Inspired by the work of Jim Henson on the Muppets and Sesame Street, Tehseen wanted to bring some of that puppet magic to Bradford. With an ever-growing cast of puppets, The Nana G Show covers topical issues, age-old themes and cartoonish physical comedy with a felt-covered smile.
Many of the characters are based on the elders that Tehseen saw whilst growing up, lending real humour and heart to the cartoonish puppet cast. Exploring themes of family, race, and religion through the lens of a hilariously dysfunctional family, The Nana G show helps to promote the desi culture and language in a way that younger audiences will love.
